In my work with the Energy Providers Coalition for Education, I found myself engaged in conversation with a group of energy utility partners and discussing the evolving needs of the sector. As we delved deeper into the challenges faced by energy companies, it became clear that alongside technical expertise, there was a growing demand for strong leadership and project management skills. The energy landscape was rapidly changing, and the need for leaders who could inspire teams and navigate complex projects was becoming paramount.
We partnered with Excelsior University, and created a unique certificate program that would equip energy professionals with essential leadership and project management skills.
Through many months of planning and curriculum development, the EPCE Leadership and Project Management Certificates were born. These programs were meticulously crafted to cater to mid-level and upper-level management roles within the energy industry, offering a comprehensive set of courses that would empower participants to lead effectively and manage projects with precision.
When the program finally launched, it was met with enthusiasm from the industry. It provided an opportunity for energy professionals to enhance their skill set and create a pathway towards career advancement and industry leadership.
It's a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in addressing industry needs, paving the way for a brighter and more capable workforce in the energy sector.
